Sony Handycam?

I have a Sony Handycam, Digital 8. It is not one of the newer models. I’m wondering where I can purchase a cable that will connect it to my MacBook. To Apple users—do I have to get a Firewire cable to do this, or will a USB work?
I’ve found a cable for connecting my model to a computer; will some kind soul tell me if this cable will work with a MacBook.

The cable can be found here: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=11040679&tab=Compatibility

Panasonic digital cameras problems are few, but there are some problems that might be worth considering when you are looking for a digital camera. The DMC-LZ7 has a small viewfinder, which many users have said is very hard to use. If you are buying a camera for taking clear and precise pictures, this might be a downfall for this particular digital camera. It is also hard to see the viewfinder in bright lights, which can make taking outdoor pictures a bit frustrating. This camera also seems to drain the batteries rather quickly, but you can end that problem by using rechargeable batteries.

The standard Panasonic digital camera problems are more of a convenience problem rather than a flaw in the cameras abilities. The DMC-TZ1 has no viewfinder and it seems to have a sluggish autofocus. Many users report that it is hard to learn about all the features that the camera has available. Although these problems are minor, you will want to consider any of these problems before buying a specific camera.

More Panasonic digital camera problems concern the time it takes to send the camera back to the manufacturer for repair. It takes about a month before you receive a repaired camera in the mail. This is not very bad for a response time, but if you use the camera every day, it can be an important factor. If you consider all the problems that this make of camera and others have, you will find that every camera has some problems but not all cameras have the same problems.

The problems that Panasonic digital cameras have are far and in between as with anything you buy. The new technology that is used today can malfunction in one camera but not in another. You just have to compare all cameras before buying the right one.

While Panasonic is one of the best when it comes to digital camera recommendations, they’re certainly not the only game in town. There are equal and better cameras around, you just need to know where to look.
